One year on Eharmony.com
Twelve months and counting on Match.com
A knack for attracting the crazies and stalker types. Though, to be fair, many of them did not come from the interweb.
The sense of humor to write about it instead of becoming a crazy cat lady.
The occasional urge to become asexual.
The accumulation of a “Hot Mess” folder.

Also, a degree in English that no one has ever asked to see.

  1. Dress your english degree in Vicky Secrets and you’ll land a man who likes to get down and dirty in between discussing themes from Beowulf. Sex-say.

  2. I was on dating sites for a year or so, mostly in Australia. I would like to think that I didn’t come across as badly as the men you have met. At least I can punctuate. And spell. And I am married now. But I didn’t meet my wife online…
    Cool blog.

    • Oh, the majority are not this bad. That is true.
However, very little is funny about mediocrity.
To be fair, I have also met some decent men and no fewer of them than I was finding in “real” (non-internets) life.

  3. This is SO funny! Dating most certainly does suck – especially online dating, and as a girl with a knack for attracting stalkers and creepers I definitely relate.

Keep up the good work 🙂

  4. I am more than glad when an interesting-appearing blog showcased on Freshly Pressed actually is interesting. Looking forward to more of your horrible exploits!

  5. omg… I can’t wait to dig into your blog. I have been on match for a couple of weeks and I am totally blown away by the wierdness! I have blogged a little about it, but I haven’t been brave enough to make fun of folks yet. Too many people that I know in real life read my blog and a few of them might get their feelings hurt! 🙂

Thanks for doing what I wish I could do!

    • Stumbled into your blog and glad I did. Very funny perspective on what a lady friend and I concluded several years ago, Dating Sucks. I particularly enjoyed your posts about the Relationships Resurrected by Text (RRT’s), an experience I have regretfully been on both sides of. I’m reformed now, and have vowed to never answer one again (successfully so far…).

Thanks for taking the time to write of your adventures, and good luck with the dating
